Lake Corpus Christi Shakedown Weekend

This is the first camping trip of the year, only 30 miles from the house, but a great place to camp and make sure you have everything you need and working for the rest of the camping season.

This particular campsite was snugg against a grove of trees, plenty of shade and did not put up the rdome.

The Pod Puppies had a nice dog run.

This was the Night of the SUPER MOON we has a lot of wind, which blew the clouds enough to get a couple of peeks.

The park was full for the weekend, but there was plenty of room for everyone.

My Camera settings were changed when taking the Super Moon pictures to B/W.  OPPS!

Bastrop State Park Texas

On our way to Bastrop we stopped at the FAMOUS BIG SQUIRREL at Aunt Aggie De's, best Pralines in the World (I think).

Bastrop is a Beautiful State Park, and we met up with another R-Pod from Texas and had a Mini Round Up of two.

Bastrop itself is a cute little city with shops, old town and parks.

Great Job on the "OLD TOWN"

Some of the Buildings have shops.

Myra had a good time Hiking in the Woods.

We worked up a appetite breaking camp and stopped at this little "RoadHouse" for lunch.

They have HUGE Burgers.
Her Friends

Of course Myra made friends with the Bikers in the Place and  one guy let her sit on his bike.

My Favorite Blue Bonnet Picture.

Podterfly Modifications Toolbox Addition

One of the first things l disliked about camping/setting up was that all the tools that were need in the front were stored in the back.
So I found a tool box that was waterproof to add to the front tongue.First thing I did was make sure that all the things I need fit. (At the time Podterfly did not have front stablizers so I used Jacks to keep her from rocking).

I had to make a little support shelf to make an even fit, and also had to move the battery box to the far right (as your facing the front).

Then I bolted the toolbox to the frame and support.

Now I keep all my hitching and setup parts up front where they are needed.
